Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Spindle, including the mobile application and public website, which help couples coordinate plans, tasks, reminders, trips, and other parts of life together.
Effective August 18, 2026
Acceptance of These Terms
By creating an account or using Spindle, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Spindle.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Spindle. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age to use online services, that higher age applies.
Your Account
You may sign in using email or a supported third-party identity provider. You are responsible for keeping access to your account and devices secure and for providing accurate account information. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.
Shared Workspaces
Spindle is designed for shared couple workspaces. When you join a workspace, information you add to it may be visible to and changed by the other member. Only invite people you trust, and do not add content you are not comfortable sharing with your partner.
Your Content
You keep ownership of the content you add to Spindle. You give us permission to host, process, copy, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve Spindle. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to share the content you submit.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Spindle to:
- Break the law, violate another person’s rights, or facilitate harmful conduct.
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or deceive another person.
- Upload malicious code or interfere with Spindle’s security or operation.
- Attempt to access another user’s account or data without permission.
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or abuse Spindle except where applicable law permits it.
AI-Assisted Features
Spindle may use artificial intelligence to turn text you provide into suggested loop details. AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing suggestions before relying on or sharing them, and Spindle does not guarantee that AI-generated content is correct or appropriate for your circumstances.
Calendar, Notifications, and Third-Party Services
Some features depend on device permissions or third-party services, including calendar, notification, authentication, analytics, and AI providers. Your use of those services may also be governed by their terms and policies. Spindle is not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
Spindle Premium Subscriptions
Spindle Premium is offered as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple’s App Store. The product name, duration, introductory offer or free trial, price, and renewal terms are shown in Spindle and in Apple’s purchase sheet before you confirm a purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it through your Apple Account settings before the current billing period ends.
- A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. Deleting your Spindle account or uninstalling the app does not cancel an App Store subscription.
- One active plan may cover both authenticated members of a shared Spindle workspace. Shared access does not transfer ownership of an App Store subscription, and a second subscription is not automatically canceled.
- Apple processes subscription payments and refund requests. See Subscription Support for instructions to restore, manage, cancel, or request a refund.
Comparisons and Website Content
Product comparisons and other website information are provided for general informational purposes based on publicly available sources at the time of publication. Third-party products can change. Their names and trademarks belong to their respective owners, and references do not imply affiliation or endorsement.
Spindle’s Rights
Spindle, including its software, design, branding, website, and other materials we provide, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Spindle or its materials to you.
Availability and Changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features as Spindle evolves. We work to keep Spindle available and reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Features may change during beta or testing periods.
Account Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Spindle at any time and can request account deletion in the app settings. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect Spindle or its users, enforce these Terms, or comply with law. Shared workspace records may remain available to the other member as described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Spindle is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. Spindle is a coordination tool and is not a substitute for legal, financial, medical, safety, or other professional advice.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Spindle and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, use, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of or inability to use Spindle. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these limitations may not apply to you.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Spindle changes. We will update the effective date above and provide additional notice when required by law. Continuing to use Spindle after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
